GENEROSITY ENCOUNTER this Saturday, February 11, 9am to noon in the Attic. From the speaker: ”Not everyone is going to experience generosity the same way, but what would happen if our church could experience transformative, faith-driven generosity? How would that influence how we impact Ft Lauderdale, SW Fl and the world? BUILD COMMUNITY TEAM LAUNCH this Sunday, February 12, 6:30-8:00pm in the Worship Center. We encourage all Community Groups to attend this event (instead of meeting Sunday night) and especially those who signed up during the “Build Community” week of our advent focus on Hope South Florida. You will learn how to help people in need through Rio House and Hope South Florida. This meeting will help people to effectively understand needs, how to meet them effectively and what resources they may have in time, talent or treasure to help. The event will provide 1) a brief overview of “the state of the homeless” in Fort Lauderdale from the Hope South Florida team, 2) an extensive list of ways to get involved (from low to high octane) through the Rio House and other HSF outlets and 3) a chance to think through our “personal ministry profile” and where we might fit.
