What are
Community Groups?

Community Groups are encouraged to meet at least twice a month and engage in a sermon-based discussion during the gathering. Beyond the sermon-based study, Community Groups are encouraged to simply engage with one another, get to know one another and be involved in one another’s lives, devoting themselves to fellowship, breaking bread, and prayers (Acts 2:42).

Community Groups are 8 to 16 people who gather regularly for fellowship, prayer, and sermon-based discussion. They are often organized by neighborhood and age range, though there are some comprised of people of multiple generations and various life-stages. While some of our Community Groups are meeting virtually, others are meeting in-person.

When Do Groups Meet?

We understand that life flows in seasons. Therefore, we want to make it easy for you to be in the right group no matter what season you find yourself to be in.

Our groups meet during two cycles we refer to as “Season 1” and “Season 2.” Our seasons each year are as follows:

How Do I Join a Group?

Joining a group is easy! No matter who you are or where you are located, we have a group that’s right for you.

We are a group of “Classic” ladies who enjoy great fellowship, laughter and insightful conversations. Join us as we consider practical applications from Personal Worship, share a good pot of coffee and a bundle of encouragement.

Our group is filled with young adults who are in various seasons of life, including both single and married individuals. In our group, we meet together for a time of fellowship, discussions on Sunday’s sermon, and personal worship. Our desire is that people in our group would cultivate authentic friendships with others at Rio that extend far beyond the bi-weekly gatherings. We’d love to have you join us!

Our group is composed of people from different walks of life, including single & married. At the moment, the group is primarily made up of women in their 40’s and up, but we would love to include both men and women of all ages. We treasure being able to genuinely work through the challenges of life together while always making space for laughter.
