When you love, you do what is difficult willingly. Paul says we are to follow Christ in this way. Knowing Christ whom you serve will make your labors and sufferings of obedience into pleasures.

Gain or Loss (October 9th, 2011)
From Philippians chapter 3, Worship Pastor Ryan Brasington delivers a message on love and the perspective it brings to doing what is difficult. When you love, you do what is difficult willingly. If all your thoughts are focused on what you have to give up for love, then your burden will be heavy and horrible. However, if your thoughts are focused on the one you love, then your heaviest burden becomes light to you and your most challenging demands become no inconvenience at all. Your sufferings of obedience will be a small price to pay, as knowledge of the one you serve makes your labors into pleasures. Paul says we are to follow Christ in this way. Knowing Christ whom you serve will make your labors and sufferings of obedience into pleasures.
