Personal Worship
The big reveal finally takes place.
Together we will pray (P.R.A.Y.) each day – ‘P’: Pausing to be still as we come into the presence of the Lord. ‘R’: Rejoicing as we remember who our God is and what He has done, and Reflecting on His word. ‘A’: Asking God to help us and others. And ‘Y’: yielding to His will in accordance with His word.
As I come before you to pray, I still my thoughts and quiet my mind. I seek to make you the center of my focus.
Prayer of Approach
Heavenly Father, I come before you with a humble heart, longing to meet with you. Quiet my mind, still my soul, and open my eyes to see the truth of your word. Speak to me by your Spirit, guide me into your presence, and shape me to love and follow Jesus more. May this time be set apart for your glory and my growth in you.
I choose to rejoice, with all God’s people, in the powerful promise that God gives us in Psalm 146…
The Lord will reign forever,
your God, O Zion, to all generations.

As you read the passages below, ask the Lord to cause a word or phrase to stand out to you.
Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him. He cried, “Make everyone go out from me.” So no one stayed with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers. And he wept aloud, so that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard it. And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence.
So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

As I reread the passage, I reflect on the questions, “How is my life touched by this word?” and “How does this passage connect with my life?”

Joseph can no longer hide his identity. With tears, he reveals himself and assures his brothers that what they meant for evil, God meant for good. The story is not about Joseph’s greatness but about God’s sovereign grace. Through betrayal, suffering, and waiting, God preserved life and fulfilled His promises. This same God works all things together for the good of His children in Christ.
Lord, I ask that you let me see the beauty of your plan for me today. If not, let me trust you in the midst of the unknown.
Lord, revive us by your mighty power. Let us experience a supernatural visitation of your Holy Spirit that transforms this world.
As I read the passage for the final time, I listen to how the Lord is inviting me to respond to him. Where in my life do I need to yield in obedience to what he has for me?

Yielding Prayer
Lord, there is so much in this story to process. Let me see the beauty of your sovereignty today. Let me practice radical forgiveness in the midst of this life. Fill me with your Spirit.
