Prepare
for Worship

By: Ryan Brasington

Hey, Church!

The most meaningful week of the Church calendar has arrived—and we invite you to experience every moment of it with us.

We begin on Palm Sunday (9 & 11 AM), remembering Jesus’ humble entry into Jerusalem as crowds shouted, “Hosanna!”

A few days later, join us for Maundy Thursday at 6:30 PM in the worship center. As Jesus gathered with His disciples for the Last Supper, we too will come to the table—a powerful reminder of our justification and our ongoing communion with Him.

On Good Friday at 6:30 PM, we will hold a Tenebrae service, meaning “darkness.” This “service of shadows” is an ancient tradition where the room gradually darkens with each reading from Christ’s passion, helping us reflect deeply on His sacrifice.

Then on Saturday at 6:30 PM, we will keep vigil at Jesus’ tomb. This service is unique because it is entirely silent and self-directed. A written liturgy will be provided, which guides you with prompts for prayer, reading, and meditation.

Finally, we celebrate Jesus’ victory on Easter Sunday (9 & 11 AM). The darkness is gone, the tomb is empty, and Jesus is alive! Come ready to rejoice—and bring someone with you: a friend, neighbor, coworker, family member, or even the person behind you in the Publix checkout line. This is a celebration you won’t want to miss!

I’m looking forward to walking with you through the powerful story of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection this week. And one more encouragement—don’t miss a moment. Make it a priority to join us for all five services: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. Begin preparing your heart even now!

Your brother,

Ryan
