We have a new song to sing this Sunday! It’s called “Revival’s in the Air,” by Bethel Music. Add it to your weekend playlist so you can join in with your loudest voice! (Lyrics and video below)
It’s a fun song of hopeful expectation. Something we presbyterians could afford to learn from our charismatic brothers and sisters is the sort of faith that can see the Holy Spirit’s very present kingdom-building work in this dark world. That comedic imagination, that looks for beauty to rise from ashes is absolutely fundamental to a living and active faith.
We get to encourage one another in that hope this Sunday. Pray for revival! But don’t stop there–look with expectation for the ways revival is already happening all around the world (because it is!). Shake off the tragic mindset the news wants you to carry into worship and put on faith instead. And then come and praise God, encourage the rest of us, and help advance the new thing God is doing in this world.
Revival’s In The Air
Verse 1
I can feel redemption on the wind
Forgiveness like the tide rolling in
Taking up the space where shame has lived
Receiving all that You died to give
Chorus
Let the wind blow let the tide roll
‘Till the earth knows You’re a God of Love
Let my dry bones sing a new song
All the glory to the God of love
Verse 2
I can see a valley of dry bones
Rattling moving bone to bone
You breathe the breath of life into our lungs
Marching on our knees we march to love
Bridge
Revival’s in the air, catch it if you can
He’s moving on the wind, the dawn is breaking
Lift your eyes to see He’s better than you dreamed
Everything you lost, love’s returning
