Today, we lift our eyes to the greatness of Jesus and remember that all creation finds its beginning, purpose, and security in him.
Together we will pray (P.R.A.Y.) each day – ‘P’: Pausing to be still as we come into the presence of the Lord. ‘R’: Rejoicing as we remember who our God is and what He has done, and Reflecting on His word. ‘A’: Asking God to help us and others. And ‘Y’: yielding to His will in accordance with His word.
As I come before you to pray, I still my thoughts and quiet my mind. I seek to make you the center of my focus.
Prayer of Approach
Jesus, you are supreme over all things! You are the way, the truth, and the life. You are the Word in the flesh. I approach your throne in confidence knowing that your blood has covered me. Meet me in this time and fill me with your Spirit and bring transformation to my soul.
I choose to rejoice, with all God’s people, in the powerful promise that God gives us in Psalm 33…
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap;
he puts the deeps in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.

As you read the passages below, ask the Lord to cause a word or phrase to stand out to you.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:15-17
As I reread the passage, I reflect on the questions, “How is my life touched by this word?” and “How does this passage connect with my life?”

Colossians 1:15-17
Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God and the One through whom all things were created. Everything in heaven and on earth exists through him and for him, which means our lives ultimately belong to him as well. Christ is not simply part of our story; he is before all things and stands at the center of everything that exists. When our lives feel uncertain or out of control, we can remember that Jesus is the One who holds all things together. Together, we can trust the One who created us, sustains us, and gives our lives their true purpose.
Lord, I ask that you show me yourself today. Let me behold you!
Lord Jesus, revive our hearts with a greater vision of your glory and supremacy. Help us see you as the One who created, sustains, and rules over all things.
As I read the passage for the final time, I listen to how the Lord is inviting me to respond to him. Where in my life do I need to yield in obedience to what he has for me?

Jesus, I yield every part of my life to you. Teach me to live for your glory and to trust you with everything that feels uncertain or beyond my control.
Yielding Promise
And now, as I move into the day ahead, the Lord who loves me reminds me in Hebrews 1…
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

Lord, enable me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to love you today with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to serve you today, by loving and caring for others as I do my own self; and, to exalt you today, by telling the people in my world about the abundant and eternal life found only through faith in Jesus
