Personal Worship
Today, we stand before the risen King and receive his mission with confidence because all authority belongs to him.
Together we will pray (P.R.A.Y.) each day – ‘P’: Pausing to be still as we come into the presence of the Lord. ‘R’: Rejoicing as we remember who our God is and what He has done, and Reflecting on His word. ‘A’: Asking God to help us and others. And ‘Y’: yielding to His will in accordance with His word.
As I come before you to pray, I still my thoughts and quiet my mind. I seek to make you the center of my focus.
Prayer of Approach
Lord, you are the resurrection and the life. As I approach you today fill me with faith that my story reflects your story. There is nothing that is too dead for you not to resurrect by the power of your Spirit.
I choose to rejoice, with all God’s people, in the powerful promise that God gives us in Psalm 67…
May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us,
that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
Psalm 67:1-3
As you read the passages below, ask the Lord to cause a word or phrase to stand out to you.
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

As I reread the passage, I reflect on the questions, “How is my life touched by this word?” and “How does this passage connect with my life?”

Jesus meets his disciples and sends them into the world to make disciples of all nations. Even though some still doubt, Jesus does not cancel his mission or withdraw his presence. Instead, he declares his authority, gives his command, and promises to be with his people always. We are reminded that disciple-making is not powered by our strength, confidence, or perfection, but by the authority and presence of the risen Christ.
Lord, give me ears to hear and a heart that responds to your call to make disciples.
Lord Jesus, revive our passion for your mission. Give us courage to go, humility to teach, love to serve, and faith to trust that your presence goes with us.
As I read the passage for the final time, I listen to how the Lord is inviting me to respond to him. Where in my life do I need to yield in obedience to what he has for me?

Yielding Prayer
Lord, we yield our comfort, fear, and excuses to you. Send us where you want us to go, teach us to obey all that you commanded, and make our lives fruitful for your kingdom.
Yielding Promise
And now, as I move into the day ahead, the Lord who loves me reminds me in Numbers 23…
God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Closing Prayer
Lord, enable me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to love you today with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to serve you today, by loving and caring for others as I do my own self; and, to exalt you today, by telling the people in my world about the abundant and eternal life found only through faith in Jesus
