What is a Prayer House?

Our Prayer House is a house on our property solely dedicated to prayer. We believe that prayer is of crucial importance to the life of a Christian and to the world. It is our connection to God, through which His life, love and power flow. But we also know the challenge prayer can be! Our prayer space is designed to help our people meet with the Lord as they walk through a series of “stations” designed to prompt prayer.

Come, take off your shoes knowing this is a holy space, make a coffee, sit in a few of the stations and seek the Lord’s presence. Consider bringing a friend or a group and praying together. We long to become people of prayer and see God not only change us, but through our prayers, change the world. We pray you will experience all the fullness of God in this Prayer House!

In partnership with 24-7 Prayer, we participate with churches across the globe in prayer and intercession for our communities and our world. Our 24-7 Prayer House is available to individuals, families and groups for prayer. Register for an hour slot below:

Join us as we come together to intercede for each other, our family, neighbors and the world! Andrew Murray says: “We have far too little conception of the place that intercession, as distinguished from prayer for ourselves, ought to have in the Church and the Christian life. In intercession we are called to receive in ourselves the fullness of God’s Spirit, with the power to impart spiritual blessings to others. The power of the Church truly to bless rests on intercession- asking and receiving heavenly gifts to carry to men.” Come and grow in your relationship with Jesus by growing in this practice with us!

Intercessory Prayer

Joining the intercessory prayer team is a powerful way to serve our congregation during services, inviting God’s power and peace to touch hearts and lives. As we gather together in prayer, we’re creating space for God to move in ways only He can. Come be part of this ministry that reaches lives beyond what we can see.

God is the hope for our children, and we must fight the battle for them on our knees! He holds their hearts in his hands and we must trust Him to guide them safely through as we undergird them in prayer.

FAQs

Location

The Prayer House is located at 700 SE 9th Street, directly east of the Ingram Center at Rio Vista Church. Upon arrival, please proceed to the main church office door to check in and receive the entrance code. The Prayer House entrance is equipped with a keypad. Use the code provided to unlock the door and enter.

Safety

The Rio Vista Prayer Room has installed cameras to monitor the building, and staff are also assigned to periodically check the parking lot throughout the duration of the prayer room’s operation.

Need to Cancel?

We want to see this Prayer Room filled with prayer every hour. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel your booking through the 24-7 calendar at any time to make it available to another person.
