I may have shared the song “Surrounded (Fight My Battles)” with you once before, but since it ties in especially well with the theme of this week’s message, I thought it was worth sharing again. First, take a few minutes to read the following two passages of Scripture. Then watch the video below to hear the song, as well as the story behind its inspiration. Lastly, make this your meditation over the weekend: “This is how I fight my battles: with praise and thanksgiving.”
And Moses said to the people, ‘Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.’ (Exodus 14:14)
