Prepare for Worship (weekend of April 16th)

Dear Rio Family,

We hope that you have been experiencing a blessed Holy Week and you’ve had opportunity to attend our Holy Week services. As you prepare your hearts for Resurrection Sunday tomorrow, we encourage you to participate in the Holy Saturday Vigil tonight. If you are able, we invite you to come to the worship center and do so. (A note about that. The worship center will be open from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. tonight. We will be closing at 8:00 P.M. Please do not arrive at 7:50 and expect that you will have time to progress through the entire liturgy. Come early.)

If you would prefer to progress through the liturgy from home, we have included a link to our online version of it, below.

We look forward to seeing you at our Easter Services tomorrow morning! There are two services, at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.

If you are a member or regular attender at Rio Vista Church, may we remind you that Easter (along with Christmas Eve) are one of the two most-attended days of the church year. We expect to have many visitors and out of town guests. To help us make them feel as welcome as possible, we ask that you park in one of the lots farther from the worship center. The parking lot at Fred Hunter’s will be open, as well as the parking lot at Better Homes and Gardens (on the other side of Federal Highway—please be careful to cross with the assistance of one of the traffic signals!). If you have a family, perhaps you could drop them off and then go park the car? According to the weather service, we should have pleasant conditions in the morning.

If you have difficulty making the walk, please feel free to park in a closer lot. We want to be hospitable to our guests, but never to the point of causing genuine discomfort.
