Hey, Church!
I am praying for this Sunday to be an extra-joyful one! Think about it: God, who created the universe and saved your life with His own blood, looks to you with a smile and says, “Come! Let me rejoice over you and show you more of my goodness and glory!” We will respond to that call with a song that we have only sung once before–on Easter Sunday 2021. It is called “I Thank God” and it is one of those songs that demands to be sung with energetic, enthusiastic praise! So come ready to party!
There’s a short video below that I hope you will watch when you wake up this Sunday morning. Even though it is technically an Easter video, every Sunday is a celebration of the risen Christ and an occasion for our loudest praise! I hope the video will help you start the day with a smile and a sense of joyful expectation for what God will do when we gather together in His name.
After you have shed a tear of joy at THAT video, please watch this one and just WATCH how these people worship!
THAT’S the kind of joy we want to see this Sunday at Rio! Fill your head and heart with the goodness of Jesus before you come to church and joy will be our natural response. It’s not only okay to get loud in worship (maybe even a little goofy at times), it is good for the soul to see and hear one another singing with such visible faith.
See and hear you on Sunday!
Your brother,
Ryan
