Rio Vista Church

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 1:8

In the book of Acts, Jesus proclaims that his disciples are called to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. At Rio, we long to see the gospel proclaimed in all nations and celebrate opportunities that God gives us to take part in His Kingdom work around the world!

We take great delight in identifying, equipping, and supporting Rio members as they seek to find their platform for mission in the world. Our Platforms for Mission are the places, ministries, and opportunities where we help others deeply engage with Jesus. So, consider this: Where is God moving you to bring the hope of Jesus to the people in the world?

Ways to serve:

01. Hurricane Disaster Relief:

In the wake of devastation left by Hurricane Melissa, Rio Vista Church is eager to partner with Samaritan’s Purse as they seek to bring localized support, care, and relief to those who were impacted in various locations in the nation. Prayerfully consider partnering with us in 3 ways:

1. Pray: Pray for all those who have been displaced or impacted by the hurricane. Pray for families and friends that have lost loved ones due to the storm. Pray for organizations, like Samaritan’s Purse, that are seeking to bring relief and aid to impacted areas. Pray for open doors and favor! Pray for the Church to respond with mercy and wisdom as communities seek to rebuild, and for opportunities to share the love of Jesus with people!

2. Give: You can give financially towards Samaritan Purse’s relief efforts that provide spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.

3. Serve: As we learn more about specific ways to serve, we will update you with various opportunities to do so. In the meantime, if you’d like to sign-up to serve with Samaritan’s Purse, you can view different options by clicking below
