What Is Family Advocacy Ministry?

With our Ministry Partners, 4KIDS of South Florida, our Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM) helps identify, equip, and support families within our church community who can care for children in foster care. We believe a family’s source of strength can be found in those who are willing to wrap around them through a Community Care Team.

What Is A Community Care Team?

An engineered team, much like extended family, of 4-8 committed volunteers who support and serve a foster family and their foster children. For more information on Team roles, please click on the image below.

What Are The Community Care Team Expectations?

Volunteers offer support in the following ways:

  • Consistent Prayer
  • Bringing meals
  • Providing childcare
  • Transporting children to appointments
  • Mentoring or tutoring children
  • Coordinating volunteers for a foster family

Your First Step

Your first step in getting involved with the Family Advocacy Ministry and serving a family is to attend our next event!
