Pray for the Nation

Pray for the Nation

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” Days of fasting and prayer have been recognized in our country as early as the year 1775, when the early colonists sought the Lord for “the just rights and privileges of the Colonies.”

Today, we are no less in need of the grace and mercy of our God in the affairs of men as they were then. On this page, learn how to join together in prayer with your brothers and sisters in Christ across this great country for the heart of the United States of America.

As we look forward to Thursday, May 2nd,  we encourage you to take advantage of the following resources to help you intercede on behalf of our nation.

On the National Day of Prayer, we invite your family to join Christians across the nation in the National Day of Prayer service on May 2nd at 8:00 PM.
