Hey, Church!
One of the easiest ways you can prepare for worship each weekend is to listen through the songs we will sing together. Put them in a playlist and set it to repeat until you are familiar enough with the melody and lyrics to sing along. With each listen, make it more personal so that you can sing it authentically to God.
Remember that YOU are the worship team on Sundays! The musicians on stage are lead-worshipers but your participation is no less important than theirs. As an offering to the Lord and as an act of love toward your brothers and sisters, come to worship fully prepared in heart, mind, and body. Get a good night’s sleep, take time Saturday night or Sunday morning to review this week’s scriptures and songs, and ask for God’s Spirit to help you humble yourself in His presence and delight in the grace and peace He offers freely to those who are in Christ.
