Rio Vista Church

This is real love.

Life can be challenging and we’re not meant to go through it alone. Find the support you need or learn how you can provide support to others in our community. Rio Vista Church offers a variety of ways to help our community overcome unique challenges and move forward.

Material and Physical Help

Deacons

Our Deacons stand ready to minister to those within our congregation in need and distress, through help and service. Theirs is an office of sympathy and service, so if you are in need of physical or material help and would like to speak with one of our deacons, they would be pleased to serve you. Request support from the Deacons here.

If you would like to assist the Deacons in caring for the congregation, please share more about your areas of interest here.

Spiritual Help + Counsel

Intensive Discipleship

Rio Vista believes that hearing God’s word and then being obedient to what it says is the indispensable pathway to freedom from so many hurts that we deal with in this life. Healthy spiritual formation comes from studying your Bible, developing good habits like daily Personal Worship, remaining connected with a loving community of fellow Christians, and receiving God’s wisdom and guidance from your pastors and other biblical counselors.

The Soul Care team at Rio Vista Church offers confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to people who are experiencing a difficult time. Each team member is a RVC member trained to listen, care, encourage, pray, and provide weekly support as long as the need persists.

Shepherding

Shepherding is at the heart of what it looks like to be an elder. That’s why in the Bible, elders are enjoined to “shepherd the flock of God that is among you” (1 Peter 5:2) and to “pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood” (Acts 20:28).

Caring for the spiritual welfare of the church and walking alongside members through joys and trials, sins and struggles, is at the heart of our elders’ calling. Contact the elders here.
