National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” Days of fasting and prayer have been recognized in our country as early as the year 1775, when the early colonists sought the Lord for “the just rights and privileges of the Colonies.”

Today, we are no less in need of the grace and mercy of our God in the affairs of men as they were then. On this page, learn how to join together in prayer with your brothers and sisters in Christ across this great country for the heart of the United States of America.

As we look forward to Thursday, May 1st,  we encourage you to take advantage of the following resources to help you intercede on behalf of our nation.

This year, we celebrate the 74th annual National Day of Prayer.

You’re invited to pray with us and the millions of men and women of faith who will pause, reflect, and cry out to our Heavenly Father from the truth found in Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Date: May 1st // 7:30 PM
National Broadcast:  8:00-9:30 PM
Prayer House Address: 700 SE 9th Street, directly east of the church office

Coffee and dessert will be served at 7:30 and then we will join the broadcast at 8:00.

Together, let’s pour out to the God of HOPE and be FILLED!
